Description

It is one of the most stylized and muscled tunas, characterized by its bright yellow fins. It has a size that can reach up to more than 2 meters in length, weighing approximately 180 kg.

 

The yellowfin tuna lives in tropical and subtropical seas due to the warmth of the water. It swims fast and it frequents the coasts of Hawaii, Maldives islands, Ascension Island, the Caribbean islands and the Western Pacific.

 

It is a species rich in vitamins, proteins, fats and minerals. It contains a lot of nutrients that can improve our health, but despite all these properties it also has high level of mercury, therefore it is recommended not to consume in excess.
